Two years ago today, we turned on the switch which allowed buyers to download their choice of 1600 video files. Now two years later, the choice has grown to about 120,000 and a whole lot more quality and variety.

A year ago, we set the video canister levels to one-half the level of photo. We did this as an intermediate step between a scaling canister system (which was not working well for contributors) and a level that was exactly the same as photo (out of reach for most video contributors) and which was to take effect this month.
We have been observing the stats over the past year, and have decided that we will NOT adjust the canister levels to those of photo. The current levels are realistic for contributors, people are progressing nicely through the levels, and we know what a drag it would be to drop back at this stage of the game.
So relax, those of you who have been anticipating a demotion. Get used to those canisters, they are here to stay. less …
